Not sure what awesomeness happened at Netflix
Canada lately, but a heap of new movies came online today
— 131 movies and tv shows by my count. If you're still avoiding Netflix because you've heard it has a bad selection, it's time to look again and ask yourself if it's worth the cost of two movie rentals per month. I sure think it is.
Some of the highlights from today's batch of video: Robocop (1, 2 and 3), Inside Man, The X-Files (the entire series), Buffy the Vampire Slayer
(the entire series), 127 Hours
, Fargo, The Great Escape, Hackers, Midnight Cowboy
, Mr. Mom
, Curious George, The Secret of Nimh, Star Trek IV
and V, The Out-of-Towners, Six Degrees of Separation, Planes Trains and Automobiles
, The Magnificent Seven, Black Hawk Down
, UHF, Punch-Drunk Love
, and Black Swan. And loads of movies I've never heard of that look terrific.
And despite some of the classics in there, what am I excited about showing the kids? "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo
" — they haven't even heard of break dancing, and I just can't get behind that!
